Alcohol Countermeasure Systems launches WipeAlyser®, a portable optical reader for the DrugWipe® oral fluid drug screening tester

Alcohol Countermeasure Systems, an innovative manufacturer of breath-alcohol testing products, announces the North American launch of WipeAlyser, a portable analysis device for use with DrugWipe oral fluid drug screening test.

Drug impaired driving is a significant problem and there is a growing concern about the ability to accurately detect cannabis use in drivers for traffic safety enforcement. Presently, approximately 24% of drivers report driving within two hours of consumption. With increased accessibility of cannabis through legalization, this alarming statistic will certainly increase.DrugWipe is a small oral fluid test cassette for quick, reliable detection of up to six drug types with a positive indication on the test strip. The combination of DrugWipe and WipeAlyser provides a complete system that digitally records the objective test data. WipeAlyser records on site information about the test subject, drugs detected with date and time stamp and (optional) geopositional (GPS) location for future print out or data storage.
